Building a custom vehicle many times requires a custom size shock absorber. This can be done easily if you know the simple basics.

You could be building a swamp buggy, a 4x4, or a hot rod. Whatever kind of machine it is, you have reached a point where you need a shock absorber of a specific size and mountings to fit your design.

As with any custom project, this information is presented with the idea that you are a custom fabricator and / or mechanic.

Meaning, you have the needed skills to make minor modifications to a shock absorber (usually the mountings), and that you have the knowledge and skills to relocate and / or modify a shock mount on the vehicle / project you are working on.

It's not likely matching up a shock is going to be a 100% bolt on fit. You have to be willing and able to make modifications and minor changes as needed.

If these are beyond your skills, your best bet is to see a local 4x4 or custom car / truck fabrication shop and let them do the work.

But if you are mechanically handy, you will see it's not that difficult.
